Local currency in Asian territories where the VOC was active.
-
Small change for soldiers, sailors, and company personnel.
The Middelburg mint, alongside Amsterdam and Zeeland, among others, was one of the main producers of VOC duits. Due to their intensive use, these coins often show wear, which is part of their charm and evidence of a eventful history.
