Article 1. Definitions
  1. Antiekhuys.nl: The user of these general terms and conditions.
  2. Buyer: The natural person or legal entity entering into an agreement with Antiekhuys.nl.
  3. Products: Antique, vintage, and used goods offered by Antiekhuys.nl.

Article 2. Applicability
These conditions apply to all offers, orders, and agreements of Antiekhuys.nl. By placing an order, you agree to these conditions.

Article 3. Description and Determination (Important)
  1. Antiekhuys.nl takes the utmost care in determining, dating, and describing the offered objects.
  2. However, the Buyer is explicitly aware that these are used, antique goods where the origin, age, and materials cannot always be determined with 100% certainty.
  3. No rights can be derived from the descriptions, years, materials, or attributed makers in the webshop. The descriptions serve as an expert estimation but remain a subjective interpretation.
  4. Images are intended as a representation; colors and details may vary due to screen settings or lighting.

Article 4. Condition of the Goods
  1. All products are sold in their current condition ("as is").
  2. Signs of age, wear, minor defects, or past restorations are inherent to antique objects and are not considered defects unless they completely negate the essential function of the object.

Article 5. Liability
  1. Antiekhuys.nl is never liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, or damage due to improper use of the product.
  2. The total liability of Antiekhuys.nl is limited to the invoice value of the relevant order.

Article 6. Payment and Delivery
  1. Products remain the property of Antiekhuys.nl until full payment has been received.
  2. Antiekhuys.nl packs objects with the utmost care. Damage during transport must be reported within 24 hours of receipt with photo evidence.


Return Policy (Right of Withdrawal)
At Antiekhuys.nl, we understand that sometimes you need to see an object in person.
1. Cooling-off period
You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason. After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product.
2. Exclusions
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
  • Products specifically customized for the buyer.
  • Business buyers.
3. Condition of return
The product must be returned in the exact same condition as it was sent. If an object is damaged due to careless packaging during the return shipment, the buyer is responsible for the decrease in value.
4. Shipping costs
The costs for returning the goods are at the buyer's expense. Given the fragility of antiques, we always advise sending returns insured and by registered mail.
